If you want to experience authentic Baranja and enjoy accommodation that will take you back in time, yet feel the warmth of home, you are in the right place. Kuća Biljkinog oca (Plant Daddy’s house) is a traditional house typical of Baranja that has been renovated and equipped with restored furniture. In addition to two bedrooms, a living room and a lounge, a kitchen and two bathrooms, there is also a spacious yard with a covered terrace, but also an open one with a barbecue and a swimming pool. All this is immersed in plenty of plants, flowers and an organic garden where you can pick fresh fruits and vegetables.
Since recently, guests can also use a spacious meeting & socialising room, which has been renovated in a traditional way using natural materials such as clay plaster and cane. The room can accommodate up to 30 people and is ideal for smaller parties and celebrations. On winter days, a wood-burning stove that heats the room gives it a special charm. It also hosts various workshops with an emphasis on nature, sustainability and creativity.
We have been awarded by Novi List and the Croatian Tourist Board with the title of The best traditional house in a rich competition at the national level, and at the end of 2023, we were also awarded the Silver Sunflower of Rural Tourism („Suncokret ruralnog turizma“) in the category of traditional rural households.
